Davaughn Lane dancer, choreographer, and educator from Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance at Minnesota State University, Mankato, with an expected graduation in Spring 2027.

Unlike many dancers, Davaughn did not grow up in a studio. Instead, dance was a natural part of his life—present at church, family gatherings, and social media—where it became a source of joy, connection, and self-expression.

At Minnesota State University, Davaughn has continued to grow as a versatile and committed artist. He has challenged himself to study a wide range of movement practices, expanding beyond his original background into modern, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and global dance forms.

Beyond dance, Davaughn has explored musical theatre through productions, Rent and Oklahoma!, and has choreographed shows including Cinderella and Jimmy Buffett’s Escape to Margaritaville, and Willy Wonka. He also teaches at the Dance Conservatory of Southern Minnesota, where he shares his passion with the next generation. For Davaughn, dance is more than movement—it is his purpose. His goal is to inspire others through his art, creating meaningful experiences that spark passion, connection, and joy.
